A man who bought a home directly from the builder was challenged by the IRS when he attempted to get a deduction for the First-Time Homebuyer Credit. The taxpayer didn't have the proper documents to support his claim, however, the TAS contacted the IRS and provided them with the proper information, so the taxpayer ended up receiving his credit in full.
