What's the difference between an IRS Federal Tax Lien and an IRS Levy?
Many taxpayers with IRS Problems use the terms "lien" and "levy" interchangeably. They really are quite different. What happens to the CSED if on 3/3/99 a CDP is requested and it resolves on 10/17/01. But on 11/17/99 an RO officer levys and recovers 573thousand dollars. Are there any case was this would not toll the time or a case in which this would be seen as a stop of the time tolling due to the levy?
